The Gambia OIC Secretariat had the pleasure of receiving members of the National Federation of Gambian Women at its premises. The meeting discussed areas of collaboration in terms of women entrepreneurship and business empowerment.

The delegation also called on the Secretariat to support the upgrade and transformation process of the federation’s market in Sukuta ahead of the forthcoming relocation of roadside vendors and businesses in the OIC Project Impact Zones.

The National Federation of Gambian Women is an apex body of women groups from different socio-economic activities formed to support and promote the economic empowerment of women.
The Secretariat for its part assured the meeting that empowering women through skills and business development is part of its corporate social responsibility. The Secretariat will continue to engage the federation in supporting their endeavors.
